The English Department at Chattahoochee Valley Community College is composed of five full-time faculty members who are dedicated to making the written and spoken word engaging and accessible. Reading and writing may seem like basic skills, but they are the foundation of critical thinking skills that can set you apart as you move into the next step of your journey.
The division offers a variety of subjects and courses to complete a student’s Area II or Area IV requirements:
- Developmental English (ENR 098)
- English composition (ENG 101 & 102)
- Communications (SPH 106, 107, & 116)
- Literature Coursework (American Lit I & II- ENG 251/252, British Lit I & II-ENG 261/262, and World Lit I & II-ENG 271/272)
- Introductory Spanish (SPA 101 & 102)
- Creative Writing Series (ENG 246, 247, & 248)
- Humanities Series (HUM 101, 102. 106, and 299)
- Ethics Course (IDS 102)
