The Mathematics Division is composed of four highly qualified full-time faculty members who are committed to providing outstanding mathematics instruction in a supportive learning environment. The math faculty devote time and energy, both in the classroom and out, to help students make sense of, and even enjoy, mathematics. Mathematical knowledge and thinking are necessary to thrive in today’s world, but many students find mathematics to be a challenge.
To meet the needs of students seeking an Associate of Liberal Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Applied Science degrees, CVCC offers a wide variety of math classes to meet AREA III or AREA V requirements. Math classes are taught as traditional face-to-face classes, hybrid classes, term classes and online classes. The math department offers the following math courses:
