The Pharmacy Technology Certificate Program will prepare students to become Certified Pharmacy Technicians. Certified pharmacy technicians have access to greater pay, responsibilities, and opportunities in the work force as compared to non-certified pharmacy technicians. Our program will equip you with the knowledge required to pass the national exams and the experience necessary to obtain a desired position in the pharmacy industry. The pharmacy technician will be prepared to practice in hospitals and retail locations, as well as a variety of other clinical sites. The program is designed to last 2-3 semesters, depending on semester of entry into the program.
Upon completion of the program requirements, the student will be awarded a Pharmacy Technology Certificate which certifies them to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s (PTCB) exam or the National Healthcareer Association’s (NHA) exam for certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
