Chattahoochee Valley Community College Emergency Medical Services program offers Paramedic and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificates and degrees. These credentials provide students with specialized skill sets for immediate employment, upgraded skills for job advancement, or degree completion. The short certificate programs can be completed within one semester each, and the certificate can be applied towards the A.A.S. degree.
Goal of the Paramedic Program:
- To prepare Paramedics who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psycho-motor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.
Goal of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Program:
- To prepare Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psycho-motor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.
