A university parallel program allows students to complete the first two years of a baccalaureate degree. CVCC offers two transfer degrees, the Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees. The Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts transfer pathway includes majors such as Art; Elementary or Secondary Education; Health and Physical Education; Music or Theater at a four-year institution. The Associate of Science in General Studies transfer pathway includes majors such as Biology, Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Business Administration at a four-year institution.
Students are strongly encouraged to consult the Alabama Transfers Guide. The Official Guide is a legal agreement between the student and the four-year institution.

ASU guarantees admissions for CVCC students with up to 64 CVCC transferable credits for students that meet the following criteria:
* Students must possess at least a “C” or higher in both English Composition I and English Composition II
* Students must possess a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher in their core curriculum
* Students must possess a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
* Students must be in good standing
* Student must complete an ASU transfer application for admissions
