What is the SENSE program at CVCC?

The SENSE Program (Strategies to Enhance New Student Engagement) is an enhanced student experience, Title III Strengthening Institutions initiative that encourages a partnership between the student and the CVCC faculty and staff community. We focus on specific strategies to engage students in their academic, personal, and professional pursuits. Our desire is for all students to have a successful finish at CVCC regardless of how they start.

About Us

We provide success coaches who are responsible for ensuring students receive persistent, proactive, individualized mentoring, academic coaching, and support throughout their time at Chattahoochee Valley Community College. We believe in working with students to help them identify and expand upon their strengths while empowering them to succeed at CVCC and accomplish their college and professional goals.

What We Do

We engage, encourage, and empower our Pirates! Instructors or staff may refer students to SENSE or students may reach out on their own to a success coach. During coaching sessions, we listen to students and learn about their CVCC experience; help them identify obstacles that may be barriers to their success, and help identify solutions.
